CLINICAL CASE STIFF PERSON SYNDROME

Abstract

We present a clinical case of a patient with complaints оf acute muscle stiffness mainly in the neck muscles, with inability to extend his head, abnormal gait and significant impairment of quality of life in the last few months. Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the brain was performed, electroneurographic (ENG) and electromyographic study (EMG), laboratory tests, as well as autoantibodies to glutamate decarboxylase (anti-GAD 65).
