CARDIAC ECHINOCOCCOSIS

Abstract

Human echinococcosis is a zoonotic infection caused by the larval stage of a tapeworm of the genus Echinococcus. Echinococcus granulosus, multilocularis and vogeli – polycystic form – are of medical importance. We present a rare case of a 38-year-old woman with a cardiac form of echinococcosis.
